The 2445 was the bane of my existence for at least 10 years. 

Yeah

Todays "weaklings" complain about a 75 lb speaker.

Back in my day, just the HF weighed 110lbs.  A 2445 driver on a large cast aluminum horn in a simple wood cabinet with wheels


Setup took a lot longer in those days, bigger trucks, more crew etc
And each passband needed a separate speaker cable

You got it.  They had 1829 drivers.  I used those for small shows and sidefills for smaller shows.  The woofer was a EVM15B

I'm 23, but learnt stacking with Nexo Alpha. Good times. We stacked the (>200lb) 2x18" subs once, but that was a 3-man job to do safely.
... and then there was the Martin Blackline. The big units with a 2x18" sub and 3-way horn loaded top. No side handles on any of them, and the tops were a trap box. Stacking those was a real PITA.

The 2445 was the bane of my existence for at least 10 years.  Using my precious HF output filters on the OmniDrive for dynamic EQ...  It sounded better on a Community horn (the 60° from the Boxer series) than the JBL horn.

I still have a quartet of 2441's on Community BRH-90 horns if you want to peel paint off something.... or ears off of someone....
