The JBL 2" exit bi radials are pretty darn nice and do not beam.

I have the 60 degree and 90 degree.

They also make a 120 degree.

Usable down to 500hz.

I have seen them on Flea Bay  with nice prices.

The 120 model is the 2382A.

This one maybe?

It size isn’t an issue you might considered the JBL 2360.  90 by 40 degree coverage and fully horn loaded down to 350Hz.

They sound considerably better than the 2380 horns in my opinion.

Yes that one will work well for you.

You can go with 60 degree, 90 degree, or 120 degree H.

They are very durable and work well and they can fit nicely in a smaller box for you.

Flee Bay = good prices on them used.

Helge,
I would have suggested the JBL 23XX series months ago in the DIY thread, but you requested loading to 400 Hz, while the 23XX series roll off below 650 Hz, it's -10 dB at 500 Hz (only need 10 times the power to keep up, while the excursion is going up exponentially...)
If you really don't need the bottom end, the EV HP940 is kind of "in between" the 2380 and the  2360 Barry suggested.

90x45 and loading down to 400hz. Ish.

Right now I'm having a hard time finding any decent 2" horn.

Are there any of these floating around on the used market in your area?

I've got 4 sitting on a shelf, but shipping to Norway would be prohibitive.

Thanks guys.

I have a couple of offers now for Beyma TD 460/n and JBL 2380 locally.
Renkus is not something I see often around here, but I'll keep a lookout for them.

BTW: Does anybody know what the horn in a MSL3A was? Meyers own design or something rebadged?

Thanks Art.

How would the JBL perform with a 700 to 800hz highpass? Choosing the right LF drivers should let me move a bit higher in terms of crossover point.

The 2380 horns are not very good. I revisited some old cabinets of mine with the JBL horns recently, and the harmonic distortion was way higher than others I am using now. I don't think the BMS horns are great, but the 2236 would be a better option than the JBL or, judging by appearance, similar to the RH.

I talked to a guy from B&C the other day, and he suggested this horn

Anyone tried it?

Helge,
I have not tried it, but the ME75 looks like a copy of the 2380 design with sharper "break" points, which would increase diffraction problems. Diffraction effects creating "high order modes" may be the biggest sonic problem with any 2" entrance horn that also has 90 degree dispersion above 12kHz, and may be what Jack is referring to as "harmonic distortion".
