These huge horns weigh about 250 each and dont keep pattern control below about 500hz.  Note the old JBL SR to fill the gap between the STX and those horns.  This stuff doesn't get loud bit produces very smooth wide coverage for lawn chair gigs.

Using decimeters for calculating volume is very handy, one cubic decimeter equals one litre.

yeah, as discussed on another forum this is something I'm also looking carefully at, but have been unable to find something really suitable.

I have two BMS 2" coax comps, and while the DIY cab they are in just now works fine, I would like to find a better horn for them and rebuild slightly.

While of course proper loading and pattern control down into the range of 500Hz or so results in a huge horn that is usually pretty unwieldy to build into a cab, it'd be nice to find one that was of a usable size and gave nominal control and loading down in the same way that pro manufacturers would describe their horns, which obviously aren't a meter tall either 

Certainly I'd like to find a horn that was 2" throat, anything from 80 to 100 degrees nominal horizontal dispersion, of course as controlled and as good sounding as possible, and not much more than 40cm (16 inches or so) wide/high if possible.

Seems to be a tall ask from the main manufacturers, if anyone knows of the more boutique or custom manufacturers that have something suitable I'd love to check it out.

Looks like it sags a bit at 5k plus.
Would high frequency beaming not be a problem with a horn this big?
Do you cross into another high freq driver?

Because the physical size of a 2" exit will start to be beamy at the higher freq

Just like larger woofers get beamy at lower freq than smaller woofers, HF drivers do the same thing.

Of course if you don't want to go very high with the pattern (say above 6 or 8Khz), then he would be fine.  But that kind of defeats the whole purpose the that dual diaphragm driver-with the extended HF, but it get rolled off because of the size of the exit-at wider patterns

I have the option to buy a pair for a good price, but I haven't found a good horn for them yet.

The JBL 2" exit bi radials are pretty darn nice and do not beam.

I have the 60 degree and 90 degree.

They also make a 120 degree.

Usable down to 500hz.

I have seen them on Flea Bay  with nice prices.

The 120 model is the 2382A.
