It was a delightful 60 F when I walked out of my gig this morning at 1:30 a.m.  This was the last of 12 nights in a row (thank goodness).  The rest were all outside where the coldest it got was 65 F.  But I did have to work up a sweat during setup when the temps were in the mid-80's during those same 12 days.

Life sucks here in Florida!  It's a rough job, but someone's got to do it.  But of course, with all of the tourists here now, it takes me twice as long to get to my gigs than normal.

It's 5º right now, going down to 3º, with a high of 14º tomorrow.

It's up to 15º and I'm inside babysitting, but my daughter and son in law are at the Winter Classic hockey game at Citifield. Sitting in a baseball stadium watching a hockey game is probably pretty damn cold. At least the Rangers are up 2-0 after period 1.

It's 3:20am, 1°F, -15°F wind chill.  But it's a dry cold.... ::)

It's 12 degrees right now. Supposed to get up to a balmy 18 today.

This is an odd cold snap for this part of the country. Usually when we get this cold, it's accompanied by some pretty severe precipitation in the form of ice or snow. The fact that it's just cold dry air is really odd, and I think, dangerously, deceiving for people.

We just got a call from the school. I guess they are pushing the start of the semester back to Wednesday because of the severe cold because they don't want the kids standing out at the bus stops when it's 10 degrees out.

This Saturday night we're playing on Shepperton, Australia. The forecast is for 43 Celcius. You might call this 109f.
I hope the venue air-con is up to the job!

The sad part is that there are a lot of families around here who don't HAVE the right clothes. For whatever reason, they don't get heavy winter coats for their kids. You'll see kids out walking around with just a light jacket and shorts on while it's snowing. Not sure if they just can't afford it, or they are clueless as to proper winter clothing or what.

They're just too cool to bundle up.  Only little kids put on multiple layers.

Huh?  I have four layers on.   Allows you to adjust for your body temp.  As I was cleaning off deck I eventually had to unzip both top layer (Heavy butt length Car

My low temp last night was 56' but at least the humidity was low.  ::)

I made some adjustments and expect tonight to be warmer.  ;D
