What would be the ideal spacing between two paddle-type receive antennas for 500 mH wireless mic band?
Will be mounted on the facade of control booth facing the stage.
How far apart is going to depend on a few factors, and the best mixture/compromise:
- In a near-perfect world, at least one wavelength apart to get the antennas out of each other's radiating near fields (at 500MHz, that's two feet). In a perfect world, about 4-6 wavelengths to get the antennas solidly into their opposing far fields.
- Place the antennas so that each has an optimal, but different view of the desired coverage area.
- It maybe that both antennas can not have a full view of the desired coverage area, so you'll need to place them such that together they have a full view, yet not so individually, with as much overlap as possible.
And walk test thoroughly, with set pieces/obstructions in place, and video walls with moving images or full white.
