Plenty of time to do your taxes, learn a new console, read a book or watch your favorite tv series.

All this while getting paid.

It could be worse. It could be loading a truck full of gear outside in the snow with no stagehands.

Loading/unloading daily in -40 degree weather.  Unless it's loading/unloading a DJ pile-o-crap system in -40 weather while he/she watches from a warm room...

Working (and getting paid) is far better than not working (and not getting paid).  Easy gigs. Earplugs.  Babysitting was never meant to be exciting.  Say thank you for the work.

Clamp down on the limiters, and get a nap or read something and learn something new.

I have found that in some cases DJ gigs are actually nice.  No set changes, no mixing etc.  I don't enjoy the music, but the "gig" can be a welcome change.
