I'll post when we get them and they're setup.

There's quite a few reviews of this mic out there. I glanced at a couple and they seem very favourable. For what they are.

As long as they work and are in a free range, they might be perfect for their intended use. The Bic lighters of microphones. I'm not gonna lose any sleep if someone drops one or throws it across the stage.

They arrived and I set them up. Good news - they came with Duracells! 2 AA's with each mic! The mics seem solid: metal bodies. Sounds like a cheap dynamic but is usable.

As for the rest...I do hear a little noise. Probably not anything gen public would notice. Fixed freq and as someone pointed out, the display is stenciled on. No idea what freq it's operating on and I don't have the equipment to check. The receiver has 2 antennas, though I highly doubt it's diversity and 2 outputs both of which are labelled Mic 1&2. Even came with a short 1/4" cable and 2 mic clips.

So it works and it's dirt cheap. I'm just glad that I don't have to hear them.

If you were to belive in the tech specs (which I don’t):

Carrier Frequency Range: UHF 261.6 - 238.6 MHz :-)

At least you don’t have to worry about any other wireless operating that low. It might even work in a submarine. :-)

What is that freq range used for?
The RF spectrum charts I have found just show "fixed/mobile"

Mine from the FCC show:
235 to 267 Mhz:   This band is allocated for exclusive Federal Government use. Operation of unlicensed Part 15 Devices is permitted between 235 and 240 MHz.

And I believe Satellite Transponders are somewhere in here too.
Beam me up Scotty.

Ahhh, it would help if I had read the post in its entirety. heh.

Where did you get those specs from? I know the initial link John posted said "500MHz to 790MHz fixed frequency," but I didn't pursue it further to an actual manufacturer page...
