Not really.
What it does do for you is reduce the sound from unwanted sources (sides and rear) and allow for more gain to be used on the mixer to get what you do want.
Think shotgun for location sound.
That's not to say that the sensitivity of a given mic will not be different from others but rather it's not the pattern that makes it more sensitive.
it's good to keep in mind that SuperC and HyperC mics have a fairly significant lobe on the 180 deg back side. So, it depends on where ambient noise is whether a SuperC mic might "reach" further, meaning it has more of the
what you want vs the
what you don't sound. No stage mic is great at rejecting LF sound either.
