Import Show Midas M32-Edit
« on: November 28, 2017, 12:42:34 PM »

Little confused as to how to save and load the entire M32 console's settings and scenes. Coming from a Yamaha background, I thought you could just save and load a file that contains all settings and scenes and then load that file into the editor to edit your show offline.

Seems to be a little more confusing than that. If I understand it correctly, on the M32 console, you need to go to Scenes and press Utility and "EXPORT" your show file, which (hopefully) contains every setting and scene in the console.

Now, if that's correct, how do I "LOAD" or "IMPORT" that show file into the M32-EDIT software to edit the show offline? I don't see any IMPORT function on that software, but I may not be looking at the right screen? Weirdness...

You are correct with the saving of the show file. To open the show file you go to usb / folders and then recall the show file. It will ask if you want to load / import it. IT WILL DELETE ALL OTHER SCENES ON THE DESK.

Sorry, what buttons/screens on the M32-Edit software? (I'm using version 3.1)

Library/Import should get you what you want.

Have fun!

That looks like a channel library (or FX/Routing) import. I want to load an entire setup with scenes from an M32 into M32-Edit to work on it offline.

I will assume you have the show file saved either on your computer or a USB stick.
If so the following steps should load your entire show into X(M) 32- Edit (v3.1).
1 Open the "Scenes" icon which opens the "Show Control" window.
2 Navigate to the "Cues" icon and hit it.
3 In the bottom right of that window you will see "Current Show" and buttons to import or export.
4 Hit "Import" and follow prompts to navigate to the show file you want to import.

Be aware this will replace all the scenes in the X(M) 32-Edit with the show you are importing.

Ok, so on the M32R, where is the Export Show button?
Under the Scenes screen, there is “Save Settings”.
If I then press Utility there’s “Export Scenes”

I can’t find “Export Show”

Never mind. I see that you have to have the HOME tab highlighted under the Scenes page.

Wow. Never had such a hard time finding this most important for function with any digital board, ever!
