Upgrade recommendations from Shure SE215 IEM's
« on: November 18, 2017, 10:03:26 AM »

Hi,

I’m looking to upgrade my Shure SE215’s + custom molded sleeves.
I’ve found the SE215’s whilst very good for the price can sound a little thin and boxy.

My budget is around £400 and ideally I’d like something I can buy custom molded sleeves for so that I can just replace these when my ears changes. I’d also like detachable/replaceable leads.

Thanks

The ones that I know of upgrading from se215 usually go for se535. Then your custom molds should fit as well, I think.

I’ve owned the 215 and 425. Speaking from experience, the 425 has more fidelity and vocals and instruments sound better. The 215 does have more bass and some people like that. I do like the 425 but if you play bass or drums, you most likely would want a 3-way set.

Thanks. The Shure SE535’s are a strong consideration at the moment.

I'm one of those who actually dislikes the se425 but I like the se535.
