For those of you keeping track:

Yamaha DSR112 = 47 lbs
QSC k12 = 41 lbs
Yamaha DXR10 = 32 lbs
QSC k8.2 = 27 lbs
RCF tt052a = 24 lbs

Not that weight is the only consideration here...

I'd take a look at RCF Evox.

Bear in mind that the column speakers can use dedicated bass drivers instead of the midbass drivers found in 2-way boxes. That can net a few more dB at the low end.

I wonder if the Evox 5 would be enough, or would I need to go with the 8? I feel sure the 12 is overkill for my use. I noticed on the spec sheet they all three weigh the same, around 50lbs for everything. I like the all in one cart idea...

I've listened to all three side by side. I prefer the EVOX8. It's got the best balance between lows and highs. I didn't care for the sub on the EVOX5 nor the larger EVOX12 top module, which has different speakers.

Not trying to muddy the water, but the Turbosound Inspire ip1000 is priced well and has good reviews. Anyone used these? Thanks again for the feedback!

Haven't heard the 1000 but the 2000 sounds fine. The ip2000 lags behind EVOX8 in output and durability, but it's also half the money.

Have you seen the HK Audio Nano 608i?

Its a pretty slick all in one setup that gets pretty loud.
I heard this against the RCF evox8. The RCF sounded better.
But for speed of setup. Neatness and compact size the HK was nice.

If I'm going that route, I had just as soon buy the DSR 12's that are favored here and have a backup for my FBT mains. How about the QSC K8.2 or the 10.2? I've heard mixed reviews. Also, this will be my personal system. I play keyboards and my wife is the female vocalist. I would like to think this would be for smaller venues. I'm trying to get a small lightweight, setup since I will be moving it myself. I like the concept of the columns, but not at the expense of good sound. Thanks for the replies!
Love my DSR112's.  For guitar and vocals, they are fantastic.  For tops over subs they are very hard to beat.

They don't have much down low though.  If you want more bottom end, you may want to look at the DXR12 or DXR15 (which is simply amazing down low for a single 15).

The clarity and output of the DSR112 is tough to beat without spending much more money.

Oh, and as pointed out, it isn't exactly a feather weight at 47lbs.

Another suggestion would be the RCF 745 which is light, articulate, and has good bottom end.  It is a bit more expensive, but if I were hauling a PA for a Duo all the time, I might well consider them for the quality and weight.
