I'm having an issue with a couple of projectors.  While powering up, or down, they're producing an audible "pop", I've been told that there is also a visible arc associated with the pop.  This happens randomly...seemingly.  When powering up, the lamp still strikes.  The client has stated that when this happens, they can see the lamp is struck but no image gets projected.  I'm currently on site to test the equipment.  I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with a projector doing this?  Not sure if the non projection issue is user error or not though.  Thanks in advance for any input.
