I give another vote to the EV ZXA1's. For an 8" box, they just do the biz. I have never been disappointed by them and they are so affordable.

So, I ended up getting a pair of DXR10s. They sound great in the shop.

I know some folks who just got 3 DXR10s for monitors and a main for a small bar.  They thought they liked the sound of the K10s better in the store but couldn't justify the price difference.  When I told them I'd trade in a heartbeat they asked why.  After explaining that the Yamahas could be pushed way harder they looked at each other and laughed.  "Guess we got a good deal after all".  :)
