Hello everyone, this is a bit of a silly question but I have a Obey 70 light controller and I am about to buy one of these cables as the obey 70 supports midi. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-to-Midi-Cable-Interface-Converter-Adapter-Music-Piano-Keyboard-For-PC-Laptop-/222595678776 I was wondering if any of you would know of a piece of software (preferably free, or cheap 👍) that I could use with my laptop to output the midi addresses bellow (Or basically a virtual midi keyboard), just to make the obey 70 to make light shows a lot easier and more interesting, as changing banks and scenes isn't quick and easy on the go.

Just about any midi software should work. Ableton used to have a free version.

So any midi software would output notes with this cable?? Also do you know one that almost looks like a virtual midi controller pad, like the photo below?

QLC+ may do what you need. Besides DMX, it can output also MIDI and you can create custom buttons.
