Funky 6 pin connector on RTS BP-320
« on: October 04, 2017, 07:39:59 PM »

Subject line kinda says it.

I got a couple of old RTS BP-320s the other day.  That's the old metal style with the stereo two channel operation.

Anyway, they have a nifty little connector on the bottom that allows you to insert 2 channels of program as well as power and a remote mic switch.  These are all things i want to utilize.

So, anyone know what this connector is?  Looks like a DIN style screw on 6 pin.  I've attached a picture of it.

Any info greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Looks like what is usually called a CB mic connector, assuming that is a little bump  at the bottom of the socket, available in several different pin counts.

Hey Brian, its an accessory port for a mic switch, program input and external power.

The pinout is:

1. Mic Switch
2. Ground
3. Ground
4. Ext. Power In
5. PGM In L
6. PGM In R

Hope this helps!

I think he wants to know the part number so he can buy mating connectors.
