One of my sound students pointed this website out to me today because he couldn't understand the picture they posted about boundary mics. Some editor has his head up his butt, and it's been like this for 7 years.

I hope this is not being used as a "reference guide" for a sound course.  I can just imagine the next edition on loudspeakers... (with cones OUTSIDE of the boxes)..

First year sound student. He didn't realize just how mixed up everything was. I would suspect that this goof up was an editor's mistake. At least I hope so...

You have to consider that this is not a "Users Guide" but a "Buyers Guide".  It is for the nitwits in the office who have to get involved with all relevant paperwork.  They have no idea what any of this stuff is for, and don't really care.

There's a very large safety pin on the back of that mic and an optional set of shoulder straps. The cops in Boston use them. Not only do they record crimes, but they double as body armor.

I like the Bock "wireless" mic which would be super easy to hide on the talent. Possibly a hairline mic for the B-52's?
