I see this connector used often for scoreboard controllers in gyms.
Never knew what it's called.
Now somebody wants me to get them the matching panel mount connector.
What is this called?
It's called "pick up the phone and call Daktronics" (or whomever made that scoreboard) And order from their parts dept.
It's easier than dealing with the 2" thick catalog of mil-spec connectors -that usually require a large-lot order to acquire.

If you can't source an exact one, then think about changing out all instances of that connector to Cannon EP, smaller Sacopex or other more commodity-type connectors.
Our school's one uses a CPC and I've had to repair it several times for them as those break way too easily with the abuse that non-caring coaches and kids tend to dish-out on it.  (thinking of switching it out to an 8-pin Speakon as that is the most rugged type I have in my kit)

I see this connector ... What is this called?

Being a packrat for decades, I have hundreds of these MIL types of all sizes, sorted by pin count.

Take some measurements, the ID and OD of that split ring, pin diameter, etc, and post or PM me, we might get lucky.

PS: Your name sounds familiar, have we crossed paths before?

I've had to locate mating connectors on industrial equipment a number of times.  With only 3 pins and apparently a part number on the shell, if you can find a number molded into the piece the pins seat in it should be fairly easy.  A paper copy of an Allied Electronics catalog would be helpful (they quit publishing one-should've got their website right first!).
