Appears to be a lighting console, so your question would be better answered in the lighting forum.

They are more popular in Europe than the US.  As such it may be harder to get their true value here on the used market.

Yep, I own and use the Congo Kid variant of the console. They're not terribly popular in the States but I like mine.  Used...probably somewhere between 6 and 8k if you're talking the console with the fader wing, but it's really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it! Good luck with the sale!

It also depends on how old it is.  It is a matter of which operating system it is using, older versions were XP and the newer versions are Win7.  It would be worth a call to ETC with the serial number to see if it can run Cobalt.  I couldn't find any currently for sale at the usual places, however usedlighting.com DID have one with fader wing for sale for $ 2395 but it looks like it sold already.

IIRC any Congo console can run the Cobalt software, but the XP versions are certainly getting long in the tooth and only support one brand (if not model) of touch screen.

Depending on condition that could be a steal!

Hmm well the photo's above are of the actual units so they are in excellent condition .

There's a recent review in the PSW product review forum.

And they look good, yes, but there are other factors that would affect the fair market price as already alluded to.  How old is the unit?  Is it running Cobalt or the obsolete Congo software.  Are there any peripherals included such as a case, monitor(s), etc.  All these things will influence the kind of money you can expect to get for this.  Most importantly, can you find a buyer?  As I discussed a little in my Congo Kid Review (thanks for the shoutout Dave), Congo/Cobalt desks are a rather niche console that doesn't see the widespread use and industry acceptance that products such as the IONs, Hogs, and GrandMAs do.  To the right person you could get a fancy sum, but it might take a little time and advertising to find them.  Good luck though!

A Congo Jr, and fader panel!
The 2 go together, as a complete unit.

Great console, great software. Just add a screen or 2, keyboard & mouse and you're good to go.
$1200 for both is a dirt cheap bargain.
If I could afford the shipping I'd buy it !

If it doesn't already have Cobalt software installed, get in touch with ETC and they will assist you to get it on board at no cost.
Cobalt is version 7 of Congo software (a major interface change to do with touch screens) and is still very much in development.

Ah, so you're the potential buyer then! I totally read past this post when writing my prior response. $1200 is concerningly low for something like this. Either it doesn't work, has issues, or they just want to get rid of this (or don't know what they have). All a possibility. I'd ask a few more questions just to be sure you're not being dumped a faulty product, but otherwise that'd be an amazing deal!

Yeah, I mean if you've done your homework and trust the vendor it's an amazing price for the console, and as pointed out above, it's one unit.  The board with all the buttons and encoders is the "Congo Jr." and the half with all the faders is the fader wing.  You can use the "Congo Jr." half as a stand-alone product but the fader wing can only be used alongside the Congo Jr. (or any other compatible console).

Have you found out the age of this and if it runs Cobalt?  That's just a very low price, so it's raised my eyebrows a bit.  Seeing as you're a Danley user, imagine if you found someone selling a pair of SH96HOs for $800...  Can it happen?  Sure, but it'd make you think for a bit...  The fader wing alone usually sells for more than what the seller is asking for the whole thing.  My only thought is that this might be a pre-2013 board and/or is still running Congo, which might justify the extremely low price.  I seem to recall Congo being released around the 2008 timeframe, so it is quite possible this desk is nearly 10 years old already.  Either way, best of luck with it if you decide to purchase!

Yes all good points and thank you this campus has so much money they sell off old equipment at a fraction of the price last year I got a pair of EAW KF650z's in near perfect condition for $65 pr lol I couldn't believe it and yes I would be alll over the SH96HO's for $800 as I'm a Danley dealer and even dealer cost is a lot on those boxes.
