Cool Iso Booth
« on: July 19, 2017, 02:54:51 PM »

A couple of friends at a local church built this drum iso booth themselves.

I think it turned out really well. Still a little trim work to finish it out, but way cool.

I'll bet the sound guy likes it  ;D

I took the picture with all the Fluorescent house lights on. So yes there's a lot of reflection.

But you can't see all that while standing or seated on the floor with the stage lights only.

Oh, I think you where talking sound reflector not lighting reflection?  :o

There are acoustical panels on the back wall and top. It sounds good inside. I played those drums myself to test it.

Plus the drummer is using in-ears

And did you exchange, a walk on part in the war, for a lead role in a cage?

This reminds me of what my grandfather recommended:

How do you tell if a cake is ready to come out of the oven?  Stick a dirty fork in it and if it comes out clean...stick all your dirty forks in.

You could do the same with that contraption.  If it silences your drummer, put ALL the drummers in there...

I'd fill it with water and add some fish. I'd probably let the drummer out first though.
