Quickie help USB to RS232/DB9 XTA 4 series
« on: July 17, 2017, 08:28:11 PM »

I need to connect to a XTA 4 series DSP with a PC that of course has USB but no DB9 plug.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

The best one I have used it this
https://www.digi.com/products/usb-and-serial-connectivity/usb-over-serial-hubs/edgeport

Most of the stuff on Amazon will work, and a lot cheaper than the Edgeport.

But if you plan on having a lot of use, just get the Edgeport. I have had one for more than 10 years and used it almost everyday, It never failed me.

This is the one that you need:
http://www.kksystems.com/usb-converters/usb-485-and-xlr-bundle.html

It is the one that XTA themselves rebadge.

Pretty much any of the adapters that use the Prolific Technology chip has worked great.
