That's why you need an Italian marble raceway to protect yourself AND your investment!

I have a lot of work to do before my next show getting all of my power cables properly burnt in!

So THAT'S what I've been doing wrong all these years!

I think you'll need a lot more than 10 amps to "burn in" your power cables. Just don't put too much current on them or they might "burn out"!

Really, you'll need to pump a lot of power through the cables to stiffen up the insulation so they don't sag between the aforementioned cable supports.  ::)

And then there's this distro with 20A receptacles, but clearly labeled "Max Load 15 Amps total".

What kind of "amps" are they referring to? Maybe they mean that you can't connect more than 15 amplifiers. But there's only 10 receptacles. So that should be 10 amps total, right?

Many years ago I was worried about a pet chewing on my expensive cables in the living room stereo.  Single ended RCAs from the preamp in the cabinet with sources to the amp sitting in between the speakers.  So I put some of the foam tube water pipe insulation around them.  I thought that there might be a very slight hit in additional capacitance but probably not noticeable or at least tolerable.  Strangely enough the sound was slightly clearer.  I chalked that up to microphonics on the single ended cables being reduced by the padding.  Not as bad of microphonics as a high impedance guitar cable, but enough to affect the sound quality.

Completely pointless... unless you get this first...

Steve.

If this was a little bigger, it might solve the problem of power strips walking off after shows.

Free shipping though!

If you're paying that much, I don't think free shipping makes much difference!
