Why does it have to be Black gaff tape? If I use yellow or white tape will it sound different?

Brighter colors produce a brighter sound. Duh!! Clear pacing tape is actually best Craig. It won't color the sound at all.

Duck tape produces a quaking sound, while the results of using electrical tape can be quite shocking.
