FWIW, I use Comtrol DeviceMaster IP-to-serial converters to run POV cameras that are controlled over RS-485. These units will do 232, 422, or 485. The ones I'm using originally came off of a video server that used them to convert network to serial, and while I've never tried them with a Driverack, I have no doubt they'd do the job.

These boxes might be a little more money than you'd want to spend, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DBX-DriveRack-VENU360-Venue-360-3x6-Loudspeaker-Management-System-PROAUDIOSTAR-/401371555356?epid=1943060421&hash=item5d739be61c:g:5z0AAOSwTM5YuZAt

You can pick up a 360 for $419.  Used DriveRack 260's are selling for about $350. So, for less than $100, you don't have to muck with any crazy conversion.  Seems like a no brainer.

Or Jay Marr can ride in on his white horse with a solution to get the USB network hub to work correctly.  Great guy.

Using drivers from another Belkin product, that are compatible with Win 7.

I'm not smart enough to find that solution on my own...I found a thread where folks had a similar problem.

It wasn't even an earlier or later model.  It was similar though, like a DVD player is similar to a BluRay, or a LP gas dryer is similar to a natural gas dryer.

Here is the link to the page to download the software.  It does not list Window 7 as com[partible, but it worked for me.  Vista and 7 are very similar (I read), so maybe that is why.

http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=4614

You only have to "Install Control Center".  Open and tell it to connect.

Solution for using Belkin F5L009 network hub on Windows 7.
