2nd Ed Master Your Craft - Nathan Lively
« on: May 29, 2017, 03:26:18 PM »

I enjoyed the first book, albeit a bit brief.

I haven't read the new one yet as it just came out today. But I expect it to be a more polished version.

I thought about that after I posted, that was more of an interrogatory.  I will strike it as I tried to find the thread.  It was something to do with mailing list and the lead in to a free article vs. signing up for a mail list.

I can't find it so ignore me, most do anyway.

Then it shouldn't matter, should it? :P

I listen to you.  8)

The thread in question did have Ray being upset by the email signup thingy, but he (Mr. Lively) didn't spam me.. much.

I have it (.pdf) in case anyone wants to forgo the formalities.

It's not that I was *upset* per se, just thought it was silly. But I also dislike interstitial popups, and I think whoever developed such a technology that's designed ONLY to piss people off needs to be flogged.

Or checking to see what browser you have, and if it's not the latest-and-greatest, not allowing people to view your site. The internet was developed to allow *anyone* to do things, and have a common language.......

But, again, that's just me. :)

I painted you in a disadvantageous way, my apologies.

I too agree with you about the things which annoy you. In this case, because the content was good I found the silly email thingy agreeable for the moment.

What annoys me most is poor programming/testing of software. Not a minute goes by that I don't find a website, program, computer, os, phone, etc. doing something I find disagreeable.
