My favourite system from Ye Olden Dayes was the HH Concert System.  I would happily use it today.

Useless trivia time. Once upon a time Showco used to make their own radial horns.  They glued up a disc of balsa wood and had a router on an arc shaped mount so they would spin the disc while the router was moved.  They then sawed the disc into wedges and mounted them with side cheeks.
More trivia. I once saw a sound system with lots of those horn cabs with casters on the flat bottom.  If you looked closely down the throat you could see various metallic debris attracted to the magnet.
