I think you should seriously consider a Genie style lift, specifically the Work Lifters WT 150 which should fit into your weight and height requirements. I own Global ST180's, and I've grown to hate the high working height when attaching speakers-lights-whatever and cabling things. The ability to get the load closer to the floor with the WT 150 is worth the price difference (work's pricing seems very competitive) and I'll definitely be going that route soon.

Hmm, that is an incredibly good point! I hadn't considered that.

Now I'm definitely leaning toward the WT 150.

Part of the reason I want lifts is so that work time is minimized. Having to lift things above the head even after getting new lifts isn't what I'm going for. Ease of setup + additional weight capacity are my two main requirements.

I can get the telescopic lift style for realllly good pricing so that's a factor too.

Now to find a dealer for the WT 150?

Just want to make sure and throw this out there.

While you may very well be within the weight limits of the lifts, make sure once you start adding all these different things into the mix you're accounting for weight distribution on the truss, wind loading and the other various forces that rapidly decrease the working load limits.

I don't have any specific guidelines for you as it is all situation dependent, so what I'm saying is...

always consult a certified rigger.

Thanks for looking out for me (and any lurkers)!

Most(all) of my events are indoors so wind load isn't really a concern.
My setups are always symmetrical.
I account for cables, truss, etc.

Everything is out of an outfit in Florida; who imports everything in from Spain. Fortunately, that's close for you. :) They're the "authorized stocking distributor for the USA."

Tell 'em I sent you! Because that does, well, absolutely nothing. :D

Thanks Ray! I'll let them know you sent me :)

Scott has some good ideas as well for when I contact them.

Cool....When you talk to the distributor see what he will do for four.

Mike Pyle had some lifts he was trying to move.  I would ping him to.

Frankly I am maxed out for the next three weeks but if you get any deals let me know.  I posted this in public as someone else may benefit or want to get in on it.

Nathan, have you made a purchase decision yet?  What have you learned in the past two weeks about different makes and models of lifts?

Yeah, I got 2x Trusst CT-CS60. Insanely fast shipping speed :)

So there's a number of considerations that went into this.

One of the primary factors was price, the second was weight.

I felt with the low price of the CS60 and the high weight capacity I would be able to rent it out more often (led walls, large trussing structures, etc) @ $250 for the pair and make my money back within 10 rentals quite easily.

The weight and height are issues that I'll have to workaround for those benefits, but I felt that at this point in the life of my company I need stuff with high ROI even if it hurts my back and I have to figure out more logistics (laying them down in the trailer vs standing up.)

I really wanted the Global Truss DT-PRO5200 for the weight, height, direct drive, etc. But I needed the extra weight.

I really wanted the Work Lifters WT 150 for the flexibility of deployment, but I couldn't swing the price as I felt they would be harder to rent out. I do plan on getting a set in the future as I grow so I can do larger events, but that will be when the clientele requires it.

Eric, Sorry I forgot to reach out for a quote; my distributor could drop ship and had a great price IMO.
