Someone tried to sell me subwoofers, the selling line was that they have less doppler effect.

I've never actually seen subwoofers flying past my head so I didn't buy them but if I ever have a need for that I will make sure to give him a call.
That is what these videos remind me of, doppler effect on subwoofers.

If there is someone new to sound on these forums, these videos are absolute crap, there may be use for a sonic maximizer in studio if you want that effect for some irrational reason(on an individual channel and not on your speakers) but it does not make anything nicer.

Regarding headroom, just search this forum for that term.

I now have seltzer on my keyboard.


Clearly my problem is I haven't been using 2" thick RCA cables for all my interconnects; I think the triangles are the main cause.

That explains why XLR connectors are so much better than rca. Each shape has its own dedicated pin so the passive crossover doesn't have to sort shapes, particularly triangles. I heard that shape sorting causes lactation, or lateness, or lateralcy or whatever.

You realize when this guy shows up to a group of folks that know less than him this knowledge starts to get baked.

I never know what to say when I hear someone explaining something to another tech and they are not making any sense.

I have inserted one on a not so good sounding acoustic guitar.  It actually did make it sound better.

Likewise I've mixed in venues where the smiley face EQ legitimately was the correct approach, that doesn't mean that where you should start.

Use that sonic maximizer to tilt your wedges up, now that should make a hell of an audio difference to the talent on stage.
