I believe that the SC48 was eliminated early on because of not being able to split inputs easily.

I would think the SD12 would be a better choice then an SD9. Being able to install a Dante card open up a ton of options but you could always just use an orangebox...

Haven't heard the CDC six

SD 12 could be little expensive SD8 can also be an option if looking for a bigger control surface

Thanks for all the replies sorry for skipping the pond, been busy. I appreciate the recommendations. I really like the look of the A&H D-Live C Class 3500 it seems to have depth while being intuitive. I will look into that however if it goes over budget I might settle for a GLD or Yamaha console. I shall see.

Thanks again,
Matthias

Drop the drum submixer.  There is no reason to give the drummer any control over what happens to his kit in the house - s/he's not in the house, and has no idea what it sounds like out there.

It wouldn't be for the house, it would be just for them. I would be sending direct mic outputs from the FOH console to a small 8 channel mixer at the kit.

I think it is worth a look.  Here are a couple of links to some videos that may be of interest and a picture of my dLive last weekend in monitor land configured as 96 in and 48 out including wedge sends and stereo IEM.

…and they actually used all 96 inputs, and  it was the Engineers first time on a dLive – very easy and intuitive to use.
