Sure PA-421A or 821A RF Output Power
« on: April 26, 2017, 02:05:57 PM »

Hey guys,

I tried to find RF output power for the PA-421A and 821A with no luck.  Does anyone know what it spits out? 100mw? 250mw?

These antenna combiners are Unity Gain, so they output whatever you input.  They are designed to take up to 100mW input as that is the highest output power setting on any of the Shure IEM transmitters.

The only antenna combiner i know of that will take various input RF levels and amplify them to a higher output level is the PWS GX series combiners, assuming they are still available.

The one I prefer is the RAD TX-8 which has adjustable output power per input as well as signal present indication, and an output antenna/cable quality reading.

That is quite, i don't know if i should say it, Rad !!!  :)

Sorry.  But yeah, that's basically your creme de la creme of combiners.

Not surprising as i believe there is some shared heritage between this product and the PWS units i mentioned....
