Shure QLXD4 No Signal to Board
« on: April 21, 2017, 10:50:39 AM »

Need help please - Ran into this problem last night with no solution:
Shure QLXD4 - 16 units . SM58 handheld transmitters.
run thru copper snake. units 9-16 pass signal all the way to the board. units 1-8 do not. (6 days previous all 16 worked fine on an X32 and digital stage box)
Move all units to the FOH position for direct plugin to board. (Mackie 1608) Now none of the units pass signal to the board.
All receiver units show audio from mic transmitter.
All mics properly synced. All mics had a strong mic plug connection, no lose or iffy connections of the mic pins.
We pulled a wired mic and tested with known good mic cable and got sound on all 16 channels of the board.
Shure units passed no sound to the board.
I can not find anything like this on the web. Help appreciated big time....was for an a cappella show...3 more shows need to happen on those wireless.
We ran wired (12) mics and some old sennheiser ew100 wireless thru all 16 of the boards inputs. Passed sound on them all. Only the Shure units were the problem.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Phantom power on Mackie board switched on?  Shure is generally very good about protecting its outputs from phantom power, but it can cause problems anyway.
