It is now:

That's some piece of work.  I bet it's popular around Halloween!

So what was the EV 644 used for? ;)

Tim,

The good brain doctors removed the staples just weeks after they were pounded in on 1/20/17, so they are part of a diorama now. I was not able to bring my stainless steel stapled head to any Halloween or punk events.

By the way, 4 of the 48 staples were hammered in as a "wake up call" with no anesthesia.
The doctor that did that "post operative care", like the woman that left me after I moved to Florida to be close to her mother here, then dumped me 3 days before I closed on a two house property, was from Long Island. I find I can hear the remnants of the accent no matter where the LI folks go...

I have found that the titanium "snowflake" and four gussets that buttress the interior of my cranium do not show up on the local cop's metal detector.

The EV 644 "shotgun" was bought primarily because of it's good looks, but did serve many years of duty as one of the half dozen or so PTT intercom microphones spread over the various STS office and warehouse locations we occupied between 1979 and 1992. It has a very good feature- when desk mounted it is near lip level, and sounds pretty darn good when used close.

Anyhow, I should get back to work, the scarification has cost me $10,000 more than I have made in the last 21 months.
The math works out to I paid 10K in medical deductable to get my ass kicked by the neighbor gang banger, and had no earned income while waiting a year to sell my New Mexico complex, then no income in Florida. The bastard (his father did not give him his name) actually kicked me repeatedly under my jaw and the left side of my stomach while I was laying on my back, KO'd from hitting my head on the tarmac.

I live in DeLand (of plenty of felons ;^) ), near Dizzy World...

Damn, Art.  Nothing in your life is simple.  Sorry to hear this.
After a nurse practitioner detected a "skippy" heart beat, then  the doctor said after two months of serial heart testing prior to the busted brain bucket, "don't worry, be happy".

Did you know that your eye will still hurt at a level of alcohol and pain killers that are deemed "critical'? The classic line I like to repeat after they (somebody, some thing) scratched my right cornea while cutting on my head "the future's so bright, I got to wear shades" ;^).

Which brings us to yet another quotable song lyric from Laurianne Fiorentino to bring it full circle, "everything is simple, as the sun, as the son".

At any rate, send anybody needs recording my way, I shall protect and serve! The new titanium cranium additions have given me a "golden ear", so they are assured platinum hits from anything recorded here at Camphor Lane Studios.

Rock On,

It's good to see you still have a good attitude.

I would hate to have to go through what you have.

Keep on pushin' man :)

Sorry Art.  I guess it was at least nice of your ex to hit the road 3 days before closing than 3 days after, for however little that's worth.

TJ,

If she would have dumped me 3 days after closing, I could have used the Suburu Outback I gave her in 2015 to haul the equipment trailer back and forth, and she could have packed and unpacked household stuff.

As it was she offered to sell me back the Outback (the first new car I ever bought) for $25,000.
I declined her offer, and with the 2006 Mustang carefully dragged the equipment trailer with the hitch an inch above the road the three blocks from the rental to purchased houses. So far, no tears in the Mustang unibody, but I need to get an axle hitch before taking the system on the road.

Of course, I have about 150 things to get done before I can book my first gig here, but who's counting?  ;D
