fibre optic question
« on: February 23, 2017, 06:33:33 AM »

A bit of a new area for me.
This install will have 4 runs of fibre from FOH booth to the stage.
2 for the console audio will patch directly to the stage box and console.(SC)
I would like the other 2 to end up in some kind of patch plate. (LT)
Is there something that I can plug the LT connectors into that will pass through a mounting plate and allow connection from the other side?
Similar to a coaxial chassis pass through.

I know what an LC connector is and I know what an ST is, never seen an LT.  Can you elaborate.

In any case, the fancy name is an LIU or lightguide interface unit.  Just a bunch of F/F couplers.  They also have little covers to protect the connections.  Here is Anixter's page for the product category goo.gl/lNfKoX
