In-Ceiling Speaker System
Timothy Marr:
I need help.
I am trying to install an in-ceiling speaker system in my church's fellowship hall. The fellowship hall measures about 60 feet long and 30 feet wide.
The equipment we have are:
6 pairs of 6-inch Plye 250 watt 2-way speakers (totally 12): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007LCL90/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Theaters Solutions 6 Zone Dual Source Selector with Volume Control: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K2GAZI4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Sony Amplifier: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J30GXW2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am using 14 gauge wire to connect everything.
The problem I am having is that I am not getting much volume.
Here is how I had it set up. I wired the Sony Amplifier to the sound selector. Then, I wired just one set of speakers to the sound selector to see how it would work. I was able to get sound to come out of the speaker, but it wasn't very loud. Even when the volume on the amp and sound selector were turned up as far as they could go.
I then took the sound selector our the equation and wired one pair of speakers directly to the amplifier. The sound coming out was much louder. However, I do not believe the Sony Amplifier can power all 6 sets of speakers at the same time.
Am I correct in my thinking? If so, what do I need to do.
Thank you for the help.

Sorry I completely missed that. I apologize. The problem has been fixed.
