Hey everyone,

I'm wanting to get some #2 SC cord to make my own camlok feeder, but surprisingly haven't had much luck so far with local electrical supply companies. Two of them said they don't carry it and the other one only had a quote for a 500ft spool (which is quite a bit more than needed). Planning on calling around to some more places, but wanted to see it anyone here had recommendations on regional suppliers that have decent deals and reasonable shipping cost. Even better if someone can suggest a supplier in the Raleigh, NC area. Thanks in advance.

Granted, if you were making a 5-wire 100' set, then that 500' spool would be perfect.

When you're in the market for connectors, tapping and paralleling tees, and turnarounds, here's where I've been ordering from. Just about the best price I have found.

Skycraft surplus in Florida has pretty good prices.   They drop ship direct from a warehouse in Charlotte.

Skycraft is still in business?  They used to have a retail store with a flying saucer out front.  Any time I was passing through Orlando I would spend hours poking around.  Bought lots of fine test equipment from them.

I didn't experience good customer service when I placed my one (and only) order with this company, which wasn't what I'd expected given their reputation. So, one's mileage may vary. (25% mispicked order; took them about 2 months to process the refund. Apparently they don't automatically send refunds when you return a product- you have to specifically ask them to give your money back. Doesn't make sense.)

These guys are great! I have one of their lunch box distros. (Just ordered a batch of connectors from them recently too).

Unfortunately I think shipping to NC would be a bit much though for longer runs of feeder cable through.

I recently ordered a 1,000' spool of 1AWG SC cable from Skycraft Surplus and was very happy with the price and service. Shipping was reasonable as well.

They still have the retail store. I bought 8 ETC source4 elipsidals for 25 each one day. They are great! I get wire and misc junk there all the time.
