Almost as good as

http://www.theonion.com/article/nations-sound-engineers-gather-to-talk-about-their-27057

Funny cause it's true.
My competitor in town is nicknamed "Angrymam Sound"

My hair is getting pretty long and it's hot as hell in Florida right now, so pulled it back the other day to avoid death. Same day I ran across this article and thought "I'm such a cliche"

Do so many sound guys have ponytails because they are either working or sleeping when barbershops are open, so the opportunity to get a haircut is rare?

I posit that it is related to the talent required to untangle hair without damage. I would implicitly trust a person with a pony tail to carefully untangle a 56 channel snake fan, for example. Thus for me among untried personnel the pony tailed will be at the top of the hire list.

I understand that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile Ergo grumpy people are using more muscles than those who always smile, like the wedding planner from Hell, you know the one who asks, what are all those ugly boxes and things, you're not going to put them there are you, all while giving you a blinding smile.

The ones you're afraid will pull a muscle in their faces from forcing a smile so hard?

I think they must've spent a fortune in dental work and feel compelled to show it off. Kind of like people in Hummers and lifted pickups.

But when I frown my face don't get tired,
when I smile people think I'm up to something.
