Tomorrow night we have our first of 3 welcome banquets for a big corporate client. Monday we have the first of 3 farewell banquets at a different location at the hotel. Overall I'll have to be onsite for 12 days.

Day 1 of wave 1 is done. Tomorrow we load in the other venue for the Day 3 farewell. Then rinse and repeat 2 more times. Life is hell.

What the heck are those rolling big brown cabs?

Speakers - old Altec.  I think the lows are 817, the HF is the MantaRay horn with unknown (to me) driver.  They've been in the PAC for as long as I can remember.  It was those or old EONs and I wanted something that didn't spray lows & mids behind the box and on the stage.  Had a tiny powered monitor (Fender?) for a center fill.

Gig was a "KidFest" with a variety of acts.

That's a hell of a front end for old Altecs.

I'll be at the Hyatt Regency Kaanapali with a work group Monday-Wednesday.

Here is a pre load in view of the stage from FOH, and a look to the left from FOH. I need more sunscreen.

Maui. Grand Wailea hotel. Damn, it's 75º as sunny again.

Mac

Do some snorkeling or scuba down the way at the black sand beach at Makena Landing.  Very cool spot for it.

Best regards,

John

For some reason when I hear Maui, I think Wowie, my sordid past comes back.  Of course, back in the day some claimed the superiority of Tulsa Tops, or so I've heard.

I saw some Bose stick like things out of a lawn down the strip a bit.  They weren't Bose, a bit bigger.  But I don't think they were RCF either.

Luau Show here at the Hyatt looked like they blew up the RCF's sofited into the lava rock wall facade.  So someone hung some cheap plastic outdoor things that sort of look like the old Rama's but made out of Tupperware.  Could barely hear the MC over the pounding drums.
