I'm running the speakers centered at about 40ft apart room is approx 80-100ft wide.  Do you think I should pull them in more?

Yes, if you can get them high enough.  If I had my way with physics, I'd do a center cluster only.  Are you ground stacking or using Genie lifts?

You can also consider an "exploded array" which spreads out the center cluster a bit.  There will be some comb filtering depending on your speakers, but it may be a reasonable tradeoff for intelligibility.

Open doors and windows.

No windows, very few doors, all the doors that can be opened during the event (facing the hallway) are chocked open all night.

The KF650z's are on 6ft scaffold with a slight downward tilt thanks to some blocks of wood.   I can't fly anything yet, I haven't got to that point and if anything should be done right, it's flying gear.

I would like to move to genie lifts next, price is prohibitive and i'd need to locate some bars and hardware for my 650s.

I will play around with possibly center clustering in the mezzanine that wraps the room.  I'd be behind the stage at this point, I don't know what this would do for my situation.  It's high up, so maybe nothing bad will happen considering I'd overshoot the stage entirely.  I should look into asking if I can have a day in that room to play with different scenarios.

I thought about getting more tops and putting them all spread out in the mezzanine aimed down over the crowd that way I could bring my overall volume down.   It's a lot of work, being only stairs to get up there.

I don't know Jim...last thing I'd want to do in a space like that is add even more speakers with 60 x 40 pattern.
Getting speakers on the mezzanine...how are you going to tilt them down enough?  Eyebolts, shackles, and spandex onto beams?

How many 650's are you using per side?

From time to time I do a 100' x 100' high school gym with only a pair of Danley SH46 as center cluster on genie lifts, but I get them way up there (easily 20ft) and pull back the cabinets quite a bit, so very little is hitting the ceiling or back wall.

You can also look into line columns, which work well for spaces like gyms.

I suggest the D9 Equalizer to flatten the room...

ROTFL

Tall (10-15') crank stands with speaker tilters (10-15 degrees).

I was going to suggest the same thing. The Cat D9 Room Equalizer, when your room must absolutely be flat.

Leave it to Tim to pull that ancient joke out of the dust bin. LoL!!!

High-pass filter the mic for speech.  Maybe even up to 200Hz.  If the low sounds sound bad, don't make the low sounds!

Been a while since I've seen one of these recommended.  But, at the end of the day, its the old buy once, cry once...

Not on n a KF650 -- that thing weighs over 100lbs.  It doesn't even have pole cup.
