Shure WWB6 Robust/Standard/More Frequencies.
« on: April 03, 2016, 03:59:04 PM »

Shure WWB6 Robust/Standard/More Frequencies. I have searched and couldn’t find what is different in these 3 settings? I am assuming that certain intermods get ignored as you try to get more frequencies. I am wondering what the implications of each one of those is. I have usually been able to get what I need when set to standard mode.

Frequency spacing (between frequencies, and intermods)

If you go to Tools | Equipment Profiles, you can see what the differences are

Thank you very much. I guess I never looked there. Now I understand the differences.

What Brad said, plus the fact that it will include or ignore lesser intermod products (5th's, 7th's) depending on which mode you choose.
The parameters actually vary with each make and model. Here's a screen shot where I've deliberately chosen one of the cheaper models (SLX) to show the differences between the three modes.
best,

And if you look at the Shure UR4D it is interesting to see what they look like and I assume that is because of the tracking front end in those units.

Yep, because better is, well, better! They're certainly a joy to work with.

Here is a video about these settings in a comparison of WW and IAS.
