I know that some people like to "roll off the highs" to get a "house curve" but this is a bit extreme--------

It just goes to show that no matter the brand or the price-somebody somewhere will SCREW IT UP and others will blame the gear.  "Well I heard XYZ at so and so and it sucked"  Yeah no kidding.

Just because you have money to buy gear DOES NOT mean that you know what you are doing.

Don't "tune" the PA for that-adjust the inputs!

The PA should be as flat/accurate as possible to ACCURATELY reproduce the incoming signal and NOT have a "sound" of its own.

Maybe the guy was strapped for time. The look on the guys face is priceless, like in "WTF is wrong with the system?" I don't know though, my mother would whack me with a strap and she could get plenty of high level high frequency sound.

if they are playing Head East tunes the incoming signal is already flat as a pancake. the signal needs a bump to get over the butter and a dip for the syrup. i'm strapped for time and staked to my truck seat to comment anymore right now and i'm eating a ribeye later.
