Hi all,

Most of these are available now adays, how would you rank them: Sound wise, SPL wise, Build ( box) wise, and why you would prefer one of these.

In the sub category i think general consensus is (in this price range); Loud and boomy Yorkville LS-801P, best sounding and better extension ETX-18SP.

The JBL 835 is the hands down winner in this category, followed by the ETX35, then the KW153.

You're wrong about the subs, not all contenders are listed, and you need to do more homework in that area.

I think the biggest differentiator is the size of the HF driver, which plays to how the box sounds when pushed as opposed to playing a moderate levels in a GC showroom.

Sorry I forgot to mention, my sub ranking was based on reviews on websites, youtube video reviews and personal experience with the various powered subs under $1600.00 (street price): QSC HPR-181, KW-181m EV PRX618XLS, PRX718, VRX sub, Yamaha DSR-118, Alto black-18, EV-750, Mackie HD-18 sub. The Yorkville will make more 'boom" then all of these.

I haven`t read any reviews on the SRX-818, and haven`t heard it, only saw one in SamAsh in Miami.  If it was a"WoW' sub, people would have comment or raved about it by now, especially on the Dj forums and Youtube.

I love the kw153 speakers and they have been great road warriors on many a show for me, but the SRX835P cabs I helped install in a local club are a significant step up in sound quantity, quality, and control capability, IMHO.  Have not tried the EVs yet, but hope to soon.
