The SRX818SP single 18 has pole cups (threaded), as do both subs in the PRX7xx line, and the VRX, as well. Someone isn't doing their homework.

Do you really need a pole socket in a dual 18 sub? Where do you put it?

With the sub standing on end your tops should be "about" the right height.

Where do you put a pole socket when laying down? One in the center? Or 2 sockets for 2 tops? They can't accommodate every situation.

The topic sub does not have cups. Neither do most of their other double 18's. Geesh. Who didn't do their homework.?

Yes, I have liability insurance.

I think both Jamin and I provided helpful comments. YMMV.

If pole cups are something you need, buy single 18 subs. If dual 18 subs are what you need, you don't need pole cups.

Maybe the fact that JBL has elected not to have pole sockets on any of their dual 18" subs may be a hint that they did do their homework

A casual search of major manufacturers can't find one example of dual 18" subs with pole cups. Which dual 18 did you choose that had them?

Ok, ok. I'll stack my single 12's on top of the double 18's and hit everyone in the chest with 'em.

I'm glad everyone knows my needs/requirements better than I do. What would I do without all your help??? lol

What was the OP's question again?

Your needs do not necessarily jive up with a manufacturer's need to not be sued for the negligence of others.  Sorry if that ruffles your feathers.

I'm a big fan of QRx; however, that's a very old design. Does anyone have a current example of a dual 18 sub with pole cups?

EDIT: I see you've added the RCF 8006AS. For more than double the price, you can have pole cups on a dual 18. I'll add that for that price, you could buy 3 SRX818SPs. You'd have pole cups AND move more air.

If I don't have enough real estate to lay a double 18 on it's side, why would I have enough for a tripod stand next to a 2x18 upright?

Wow, is everyone on here looking to disagree on something????

Carry on!
