I must admit to not knowing much of the history of American independence... up until this afternoon when I watched a couple of hours of very good programmes on the Discovery channel.

I think if I was there at the time, I would have been on the revolutionary side too (don't tell anyone I sad that!).

In fact, I have more of a connection to the US than you might think - I work for a company based in Methuen, MA.  I might even visit one day.

Let's condense that down to "slimey's"...(not you, DD).

Editorial correction: The apostrophe in limey's and slimey's makes the noun possessive.
Proper construction of the plural would be: limeys and slimeys.
And if one were to refer to a group, the plural possessive would be limeys' or slimeys'

That is all.

I decided not to mention that apostrophe thing!

I hope you all had a great day. What sort of events do you put on to celebrate?

NPR has for years on 4th  read  the Declaration on the morning edition news program.  This Friday they did so again.  On Friday the 3rd because thats the holiday?  Its July 4th dammit, this is one where a long weekend doesn't count.

To make that a little easier

Good choice.  You were in enough trouble, as it was!   ;D
