Not to mention, good luck keeping the clip in one piece. Someone should CNC a replacement clip out of aluminum (or aluminium for non-US-types). I'm certain there's a market for such a thing.

In a year or two, when we all have 3D printers, somebody will publish a printable plastic replacement clip.

That won't be any better than the stock one - except that it'll be cheap to print another when it breaks. I'd pay a premium for a metal one - then I just have to worry about the microphone body breaking...

Perhaps my least favorite  legacy mic coupled with everyone's least favorite clip.

In a year or two no one will ask for a 421. Please!

Print it from delrin or a hard polyurethane.

No hate here, but I'd much rather have something more compact around the drum kit. I work with too many drummers that drop their cymbals almost on top of the toms. They may or get as deep, but I likemye904's just fine.  The PR31-BW looks interesting from Heil too in the 421 price range.

Not hate, love the sound. Too fuckin tempramental (mechanically) for drum use. Once I started using 308's and 408's, these relics got sold off. I kept 2 for sax use, but dumped the others.
