Hey Ivan. How about putting some fur around the openings.

Hey Ivan. How about putting some fur around the openings.
It would just "blow" around :)

Toms idea for the look was "the eye of the tiger".

NOT what you are thinking.  However I would say that most people think like you do.

I'm not sure what that says about people---------------------

Of course you can buy some and do whatever you want with them.

So-more of "personal question" Bob-do you "measure up" to the task?  :)

I never seem to have a night off that coincides with a good band in the area. But tonight it works :)

Last name concert I saw was 3 years ago. Santana/Winwood. Sounded terrible. I'm really hoping that it'll sound great tonight.

Hope they do a long version of Free Bird. I'm good with 20 minutes.
I saw them in the pre line array days on a Martin Audio system at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee.  They sounded amazing.  I distinctly remember
how accurate the midrange sounded with Billy Powells piano.   I though wow this is
what the hoopla is about with this band.   Really dam good.

That's the first positive sound opinion so far on this thread. A band of that caliber should always have reviews like that. I still have a soft spot for old Martin PAs but I like to think we've come a long way since then. Sometimes I'm not so sure.

Speaking of Lynyrd Skynyrd, original LS drummer Bob Burns just passed away.

At 80Hz it is 20dB front to back.  At 50hz it is 8dB.

The BC218 has a couple of options you can use them in.  There are advantages to each setup.

In the "end to end" you get more front to rear cancellation and lower extension.  But the setup is 10' wide.  This may be to large for some setups.

When they are stacked in the "normal" setup (not as shown below), the width and height is 5' each.  You get a bit more punch out of this setup.  But it does not go as low or have as much rear rejection.

If you want some SERIOUS rejection and low freq output, you can stack 4 like this :)

What about 8? :)

I need to collapse the vertical.

When you stack the BC218-the pattern becomes even more reduced behind (due to the larger boundary.)

When you start to stack subs (or space them out vertically) the pattern will narrow in the vertical.

So with 8,the best configuration would be 2 wide (so the eye is in the middle) and 4 tall-so the eyes would be vertically lined up

You will get a narrowing of the vertical pattern (due to the sub spacing) a donut shape- if you will, and huge rejection in the rear (due to the "solid wall") and the "barn door" effect.

Plus you could probably stop somebodies heart or at least suck the air from their lungs if they were on axis.
