Looking for large displays.
« on: March 23, 2015, 02:00:37 PM »

I need to create two large displays (about 6' wide).

Was thinking two 80" TV's would work but they are a bit pricey. Only need 480 resolution.

Any thoughts? Has anyone seen 80" basic displays other then smart TV's?

Can you use a projector?

easy way
4 cheapo matched tv's plus not so cheap 2x2 video scaler, google will find you options

possibly cheaper solution would be a PC built to use as media server, using 2 vid cards to output and use the AMD eyefinity softwware (or compeditord equivalent, ask any hardcore gamer and they can explain it.

unless you get tv's that have zero edge you end up with a crosshare in your display,

Looking at retiring. Local PA market has shrank to 2 guys with guitars and bose l1 compacts or expecting full line array and 16 movers on stage for $300... no middle left going back to event DJ stuff, half the work for twice the pay.
