Midas Heritage Console Batteries
« on: March 13, 2015, 10:59:34 AM »

Hi Everybody, We have recently lost two Heritage consoles, one 3K and one 2K, due to being stored for a long time and the battery in the automation section rupturing.

So for the first reason of posting, HEADS UP!! to those with these consoles sitting in the shop getting less use than they deserve. Check and replace the batteries.

Secondly, I would love to know if anybody has any leads on where to get replacement modules that don't cost $9,000.

Did the battery leak and damage a PCB?

Dear Kevin,
Since heading off from Midas about 5 years ago I have opened my own shop doing pro audio repair. I would love to hear from you!
I have spare parts and can often repair the damage to the motherboard itself.
I have repaired many of these issues for the H3000 and the XL4.
Give me a shout!

You could get a whole replacement console with power supplies for $9k. (or less, I'm sure!)

Kevin,
Did you ever find a way to bring your consoles back to life?
I have two new backplanes for the master VCA section on your consoles  that will bring them back to life.
Give me a shout.
