The SRX712m are still ones I'm looking for as well.  They just don't come up for sale much.  I almost had some a few months ago, but I couldn't pull e trigger at the time and lost them.

Even though they are out of production, I'm a HUGE fan of the SRX712m's.  The replacement STX series is bigger, heavier and doesn't have the same pattern.  Every time I come across a set available that's reasonably priced in good condition, I end up buying them.

Be careful on eBay though. there are plenty of counterfeit ones due to the high demand.

Caleb,
The Fulcrum speakers look interesting.  Will you pm or email me a price.  Thanks!

Fulcrum DX896, as long as your DSP can process as needed.

I've auditioned the VUE A-series 12" and 15" versions.  They sound very nice in a "European" sort of way.  Suspect that the A10 would have less LF extension that its larger siblings.  Sweet and clear voicing.

I liked them a lot, but.... when we were listening it was with an eye/ear to having a compact, kick-ass wedge monitor that could double as speakers on sticks.  We ended up buying JBL SRX712M based on positional inflexibility of the A12, voicing (my monitor guys & boss liked the "in you face" sound of the 712M) and the nice price of buying into the last official run of SRX.

Contact Vue and they'll try to find a dealer or end user near you.  Give them a listen.

Disclaimer:  We're dealers for Vue and RCF/DB Techologies

d&b audiotechnik MAX12 or M6 (both 12" LF) would make an awesome choice - both for FOH and monitor duties.  The MAX12 (and it's larger brother the MAX15) can even be run without the d&b amplifiers.  Another example of top rider spec monitor speakers WITH a pole mount! ;)

I'm pretty sure the FX896 doesn't have a pole cup.

I've asked Fulcrum if the FA28 is still available in a passive version.

Last I heard, JBL will make custom runs of the 712m if you wish.  Speak to a dealer and check the pricing.

RCF TT08 is another contender.  I haven't heard them, but have read good reviews of their active brother. http://www.rcf.it/en_US/products/touring-and-theatre/tt08 . Has a pole cup and a monitor angle, although I prefer a steeper monitor angle.

I have heard that, both about the 712Ms and the SRX728S. I'd like 10-12 more SRX728S, so I might be trying to go that route at some point this year.

I was told you couldn't get these in passive in the US.

Yep, the -08's are passive, the 08A's are active.
