Eagle Scout c/o 2000 and Vigil c/o '02.... Central Florida Council (Orlando).

Being prepared is critical to this industry and I found that the skills learned in the Boy Scouts are congruent with what it takes to be successful in live audio world.

That and always carrying a multi-tool :-P

Just for us non-Americans... what's an Eagle Scout?

(I know I could look it up on Google but I prefer answers from real people).

Steve.

The highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.  About 3% of boys who enter scouting achieve this rank.  Not sure what the equivalent is in the UK.

Thanks.  In the UK, it's Chief Scout and ultimately, Queen's Scout.

Eagle Scout in 2000, Vigil in OofA in 99.  Was a great program, very active troop.  Took week long trips to the Badlands/Blackhills, 60 mile canoe trip in Canada, and a week in Gettysburg/Wash DC.  Best memories of my childhood.

Welcome to the forums, Harry! I see it's your first post, and what better thread then to make your debut in, right? :)

Eagle circa '04. Rarely a day where something learned from scouting doesn't serve me well.

It's good to know your knots in this business.
