If it's sudden onset, definitely get that checked out ASAP.

I've 'suffered' from some level of Esophageal Dysphagia most of my life, but it has gotten worse as I get older. It takes me twice as much chewing and liquid to get through most meals compared to other people. Mine got somewhat worse a few years ago due to acid-reflux damage, but changing my diet helped stabilize the damage.

Chew well, and always be prepared with water to wash things through. Best of luck to you, and keep us posted.

I went to USC-LA the biggest hospital in LA. When I was being checked in the guy told me they would put a camera down my throat. After about 8 hours they saw me in the emergency room. The emergency room doctor informed they do not have a camera in the emergency room. wth ! So now I have to go to the outpatient clinic where they have the throat camera.

I thought my appointment was for Thursday, but it was today. Sorry to hear about your appointment and there not being the proper equipment to do the job. The procedure is an endoscopy and the doctor will look at the esophagus, duodenum, and stomach. It is an outpatient procedure that will take up most of the day, but less than an hour will be the actual test. You will be medicated with a nasty tasting throat spray and an IV that will put you to sleep.

I would question any reason the appointment was scheduled and you were sent to a hospital that was not prepared to do the job. In Boston that shit don't float.

In my case they found a polyp that has been removed and sent out to see if there will be any problems (cancer). Again though, if the hospital you went to is that screwed up it's time to find another hospital or doctor, or both.

I decided to go the emergency room. I thought they would have a camera. When I was asked why I was there the guy told me they would look down my throat with a camera. When the emergency room doctor came to examine me he said they dont have a camera. He examined me the best he could  and he thinks it might be a little growth on the side of my throat. He gave me a prescription for prilosec. I have an apointment at the outpatient clinic so its gonna get taken care of.

i was searching the web and i might have gotten the growth(polyp) from not singing for a while and then just up and singing Katmanduh, Deep Purple , Judas Priest instead of taking a week to slowly get back into it. i did hurt my throat a few times but never thought i could damage it. well i did get my song recorded before this got serious. here it is and its supose to sound like this.
