EV Evid C8.2 Alternative
« on: October 20, 2014, 03:52:47 PM »

Does anyone have an 8" in-ceiling speaker recommendation as an alternative for an Evid C8.2.

I have checked with Harman (they do not have any option for the price point) and QSC (Does not offer in-ceiling in Black and White).

Requirement
- 70V or 8ohm
- 8" 2 way preferable
- White and Black
- $180/ per speaker retail price

Okay I will bite why don't you want to use the C8.2 in whatever version? I have found them to be as musical and reliable as ceiling speakers get especially if they are used with enough amp, a HPF and then supplemented with an appropriate number of 10.1 subs.

We love the speaker, it is our go to for in-celing speakers, but have been running into way too many logistical issues with the manufacturer.

Just wondering what else was out there that was comparable.
